If I Was President - July 2012

There is only one President of the United States. While there may be tens if not hundreds of millions of us who think we can do better, only one person is elected to that office at a time to oversee the federal government of our country. But what if you could be President for a week and could implement any policies, rules, or laws without Congressional involvement. What would you do?

Fear not that you lack the experience or grades for being President because Barrack Obama is already the least qualified individual to sit in the Oval Office in our lifetime. The media used to love to make fun of George W. Bush until it was learned he had a higher IQ than media darling John Kerry. But since Obama refuses to release his college and graduate school grades, we can only assume that his IQ is not much higher than that of the Teleprompters he relies on to speak.

So if I had the opportunity to be President tomorrow, what would I do to turn around the monstrous bureaucracy of the federal government, implement an appropriate economic plan, promote democracy throughout the world, and put our country back on the path that has made it the most successful representative democracy the world has ever known?

The first thing I would do is outlaw the Democratic Party. Just kidding. But I would bring Senate President Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker John Boehner, and House Minority Leader Pelosi into my Oval Office and tell them they are all partisan hacks who are getting in the way of the country’s business. And I would tell them if they could not take off their party hats and roll up their sleeves, then I would ignore them and go directly to their members to put together a coalition to run Congress.

Next I would focus on the crumbling finances of our federal government. I would call all Cabinet Secretaries into my office and tell them they have 24 hours to zero out their budgets for the balance of the fiscal year, resubmit and prioritize their line items with realistic funding needs, and I then would only approve those items which are best provided by the federal government. In my opinion, the federal government should not be collecting taxes from residents of one state to transfer those dollars to residents of another state for services that can and should be funded locally. And I would immediately stop borrowing money from China and from phony interdepartmental IOUs to pay for any more Keynesian stimulus programs.Lastly I would eliminate corporate federal income taxes for those willing to issue or increase yearly dividends to their shareholders equal to what their annual federal tax level would be.

I would then then call into my office the heads of the United States Chamber of Commerce, AFL-CIO, and other key private industry unions, and tell them that the United States must again have a world leading manufacturing base. In order to do so, I would tell them to go their members and put together a game changing employee profit sharing plan in which all employees would share proportionally in the financial success of their employers and focus less on contentious wage and benefit issues. If an employer does not succeed to its fullest capability, then it should not be burdened by forced and expensive contractual labor costs. But if it is succeeding in the marketplace, all of its employees should succeed as well with stock allocations or bonuses.

After lunch, I would push the self-destruct button on the Reset Button in possession of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He is an evil and corrupt leader who is again taking Russia down the path of being on the opposite side of democracy from us as he continues to back Iran, Syria, and other countries which are a threat to their people and world peace. I would invest as much available money as possible in properly funding a covert intelligence program again throughout the world and would make sure that any public disclosure of such activities – as many recently believe was done by Obama’s staff – would be considered treason to our country. All with the goal of ensuring that we back governments and people looking out for our best interests since Russia and China continue to do the same for themselves.

Finally, in perhaps what we be my most defining act, I would call together the defacto leaders of all of the religious, civil rights, and activist organizations to sit down and come to a final understanding of the importance of freedom of choice, sanctity of life, and the rule of law, as they relate to the role of abortion, minority rights, immigration, and liberty in our great nation.
